Aspiring marriage and family professional, author, sociologist, and feminist theorist Keli Pitts is on a mission to expose what's attacking femininity, masculinity, and the family
There is a huge gender war going on in the American West today, and everyone's trying to solve the mystery as to why men and women aren't getting along, getting married, and building healthy and intact families—and the children are suffering.
Keli is jovially dedicating her life to ending this gender war, helping women understand the true meaning of what it means to be feminine again. She believes if women can get back to themselves and no longer obsess over things that are inherently masculine, society will see a huge turnaround.
Women are special and have a huge role to play in the world. True freedom is not found in being like men. It's grave disrespect to who we are and the God who made us opposite of them on purpose.
Historically, eight main pillars make up femininity; if women wish to successfully reclaim their femininity to live happier, sexier, and more successful lives overall they should know what they are.
Beauty means the quality of being attractive and pleasing to look at. Independent of the industry itself, women were always concerned with their appearance. They took pride in how they presented themselves because society promoted loveliness and decency. Women were especially concerned with their beauty when they wanted to be taken seriously for courtship and marriage. Since the late 60s, more women have become concerned with masculine sectors. As a result beauty and being concerned with the outer appearance has gained a negative connotation. Women need to know they aren't shallow for loving and embracing beauty as long as their beauty doesn't come from things like their clothes, hair, and makeup. Their true beauty should come from their inner spirit.
Charity is a favorite of Keli's because she believes it speaks to the true nature of a woman, which is to be selfless. Giving to others who cannot give back to you shows up in major religious texts and Victorian Morality, something that once governed the West. If a woman had a husband, he was expected to give his money to the poor. The woman herself was expected to give more of her time and heart to the needy. Keli believes charity is essential to creating more soft and compassionate women.
Despite the modern message that is overtaking society today, women aren't non aspirational or lazy for being family-oriented. Singlehood and hookup culture is mass promoted today, but it's not fulfilling long-term. In fact, studies show married mothers are the happiest women in the world. Getting married, having children, and being of service to members of extended families keeps women in community and connection. It provides them with essential life skills and protections that are necessary to becoming the best versions of themselves.
Wellness is not just about physical health—it’s about the harmony of mind, body, and soul. Women are often told to strive for success at the expense of their well-being, leading to burnout and dissatisfaction. Keli advocates for a holistic approach to wellness that includes mental clarity, emotional balance, spiritual grounding, and physical vitality. By prioritizing wellness, women can show up as their best selves, embracing their femininity with energy, joy, and peace.
Relationships are the lifeblood of a woman’s world. From friendships and family bonds to romantic partnerships, meaningful connections allow women to thrive. Yet, modern ideologies often pit men and women against one another, creating a disconnect that’s hard to bridge. Keli emphasizes the importance of building respectful, nurturing relationships with others, particularly with masculine partners. These relationships are not about competition but collaboration. A strong relationship helps women experience love, companionship, and growth, reminding them of the beauty in unity and mutual understanding.
Piety is about devotion—whether to faith, values, or the principles that guide a meaningful life. In a culture that often dismisses traditional spirituality, Keli encourages women to rediscover the joy and grounding that come from a connection to something greater than themselves. Historically, piety has been a cornerstone of feminine strength, offering clarity, purpose, and resilience. Whether through faith or moral principles, cultivating piety is a way to live intentionally and remain rooted in values that truly matter.
Identity is the essence of understanding who you are at your core. In a world that constantly pushes women to redefine themselves based on external expectations, it’s easy to lose sight of one’s true self. Keli believes a woman’s identity should not be shaped by trends or societal pressure but rather by her innate nature and values. When women embrace their unique strengths, personality, and purpose, they step into a confidence that radiates. A strong sense of identity anchors a woman in her femininity and helps her navigate life with authenticity and grace.
In the late 60s, a few very important things shifted society forever. Women entered into the labor force at increasing numbers, The Sexual Revolution gained a major foothold in The American West, and women became more invested in things that were inherently masculine. As a result of women gaining newfound freedom, the domestic sphere became of less interest. Several family scholars mark this as the beginning of the family decline. Today, The American West has more professional women, but they aren't as strong at home and family life. The glamourization of the labor force, independence, and hookup culture led to women being weaker in areas like cooking, proper hostessing, and creating structurally sound fiscal bases. Keli believes creating stronger domestic women will definitely help to see a special up trend in femininity, and ultimately the family.
